Regularly give the scalp a hot oil massage. By gently massaging the scalp, good blood flow to the area will occur, stimulating the hair follicles present there, resulting in new hair growth and decrease in hair loss. Oils that can be used for this purpose are coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil, and jojoba oil.
A homemade massage oil can be prepared from blending well castor, jojoba oil and vitamin E. It is best to pour these ingredients into a bottle and shake to combine them all well. To this, add a few drops of rosemary and peppermint essential oils and shake again to distribute the oils evenly. Also, certain food groups seem to encourage hair growth; these are nuts like walnuts and almonds; seafoods like salmon and oysters; lean meats and poultry; eggs; green leafy veggies like spinach, kale, broccoli, etc.

This may sound contradictory, but cutting off just 1/4th inch of hair is essential to get rid of any split ends that will cause breakage, hindering proper hair growth.
