Home Remedies for Pimples : Get Perfect Skin Naturally

Pimples can be sometimes termed as acne, which can be an inflammation of the skin in which the sebaceous glands get infected with microorganisms, swelled up, and filled in with thick pus. It is skin conditions that affect teenagers and in individuals under extreme stress that generally occur on the face, neck, back, and shoulders. Many natural remedies are effective in treating pimples within a short period of time.

  1. According to some sources, ice can reduce redness, swelling, and inflammation of pimples. It improves blood circulation to the affected area, lightens the skin pores, and removes oil and dirt accumulated on the skin. It is advisable to wrap ice in a piece of cloth and hold it on to the affected areas of the skin.
  2. Dip cotton swab in lemon juice and applied on to pimples of affected skin area can dry it faster.
  3. Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties that fight bacterial infections and prevents skin problems. Also it has soothing properties that help reduce redness and inflammation of pimples, and dry out blackheads and whiteheads on skin.
  4. Application of some white toothpaste over the affected skin area can be used to treat pimples quickly.
  5. Application of steam on pimples or affected skin area can get rid of oils, dirt, and bacteria trapped in the pores that can cause infection or inflammation. The steam opens the pores of the skin and allows it to breathe thus subsiding pimples appeared on the skin.
  6. Garlic has antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic, and antioxidant properties that promote healing of pimples. Rubbing of a piece of garlic clove on the pimple and washing it with lukewarm water can diminish it.
  7. Baking soda is another home remedy for pimples used by many individuals that helps exfoliate the skin to remove excess oil, dirt, and dead skin cells. Application of a thick paste of baking soda with some water or lemon juice on affected areas and allow it to dry for few minutes. After some time, wash the face with warm water.
  8. Honey prevents infections and speed up the healing of the affected skin area. It can be applied directly on skin or a mixture of honey and cinnamon together to make a paste and applying it over the pimples before going to bed. In the morning, the inflammation or swelling can be reduced. Then wash the skin well with cold water.
  9. Cucumber is a rich source of potassium and vitamins, which imparts a cooling and soothing effect on the skin. 2 or 3 pieces of cucumber can be soaked in water, make a face mask and allow it to dry for 15 minutes. Following application, wash the skin with warm water to clean dirt and bacteria from skin pores.
  10. Papaya fruit is a good source of vitamin A and some enzymes that reduce inflammation and imparts softness and smoothness to skin. An exfoliating face mask can be prepared from papaya extracts and applied it over pimples.
  11. Apple cider vinegar, an astringent can dry up excess oil on the skin. Direct application of apple cider vinegar on the pimple or skin blemish is a good natural remedy.
  12. A face mask prepared from cinnamon and honey or with milk and yoghurt can impart antibacterial properties, soothes the irritated skin, and tone down the redness of the skin.
  13. Application of egg white on skin soaks up excess sebum, reduces acne, fades scars, and acts as a moisturizing agent.
  14. Oranges are rich in vitamin C, citric acid, and has astringent properties. It promotes the growth of healthy cells and rejuvenates skin cells. Application of orange peel paste on skin, washed and pat dried, can clear the skin pores and improves the skin conditions.
