– Apple cider vinegar

Additionally, the acidity of apple cider vinegar assists in eliminating viruses that result in gastroenteritis. It also aids in decreasing nausea, stomach ache and formation of gas. 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar could be added to water / fruit juice and consumed before meals, for curing stomach flu. Another option could be taking1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar & 1 tbsp of honey, for adding in 1 cup of hot water and sipped.


Peppermint is a carminative herb and has antispasmodic characteristics that assist in eliminating gas and bloating. Apart from these, this herb also aids in gaining comfort from stomach and intestinal cramps. Thus, it constitutes a very effective home remedy for curing a case of stomach flu. It could be consumed by taking 1 tbsp of its leaves, added to 1 cup of boiling water and steeped, prior to being sipped. An alternative would be to source it in form of capsules, available at health stores. Either of the two provides instantaneous relief from the discomfort of gastroenteritis.


Cinnamon has long been acknowledged for its medicinal characteristics that include being an effective antibacterial / antiviral. Additionally, the warmth it generates assists in guarding against a chill or body ache. It assists in curing stomach flu, or gastroenteritis, rather quickly. A small piece of the tubular roll of this bark could be chewed on for un-leashing its medicinal potential.
