  • The pepper and mint candies work their way to set the stomach on the right course, as both of them contain curative properties.
  • Even a drink of warm water in which a few fennel seeds are boiled, may be had after a heavy meal, as a precautionary measure for possible stomach upset.

  • Butter milk with cumin seeds:

  • Else, make a tea infused with herbs like cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and / or mint.  Add a little honey to make it tasty.
  • Drink this at the end of every meal to activate the process of digestion.

  • Strain this liquid and add a little honey.  Drink this tea to get rid of stomach discomfort.
  • It is good if you do not strain the liquid.  Instead, drink the liquid, as it is, and munch on the leaves.  This provides greater nutrition to counter abdominal ailments.

  • Rice starch:

  • When you face a stomach upset, go in for a lighter diet.
  • Boil rice in water for  about fifteen minutes. After this,  extract the liquid by tilting the vessel containing boiled rice over a sieve-plate.
  • The white thick liquid that falls out of the sieve is the starch content in the rice.
